Leonardo is such a sweetie and after he gave me a kiss, he went to his bedroom. After awhile we were wondering what he was doing and then his mom informed us that he was very nervous. After she was able to coax him out, he was crying. I guess all of the cameras and people there scared him and it was a bit overwhelming! But when I took out the gifts that I had brought, he began to brighten up. He received many gifts from some of his group sponsors and he was happy. His mom also brought out a folder that had all of the letters and photos of his sponsors. She knew them by name also. It was really amazing to see how much the families cherish the sponsors. They are very appreciative of everything. This is especially important for this family because Leonardo's mom is very ill and has been in treatment. It seems as if she has not been able to be in the home much,  due to her treatment. I hope and pray that she will get better soon.
